“Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge. At the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom" - Jawaharlal Nehru
The celebration of our country's 77 th Independence Day- with the theme “Nation First , Always First" & Har Ghar Tiranga was organised in our school premises with great enthusiasm and zeal. Students from both CBSE & ICSE wing participated unanimously in this short but memorable program that began with a March Past and followed by a beautiful cultural program rendering tribute to our motherland.
It is this day today, seventy seven years ago , when the great freedom fighters and the national leaders were finally able to get back and restore the lost freedom after much struggle and sacrifice which the Britishers had curbed for so long. The entire nation today celebrated this day by paying tribute to the freedom fighters, who sacrificed their future so that we Indians could live and breathe in a free country in the present day.
To commemorate India’s 77 th year of Independence from the clutches of the British dominance, and to reflect on our incredible journey as a nation, a short cultural program was organized by the Josephites. The program began with invoking God’s blessings upon each one of us and our motherland. The occasion was graced by the chief guest of the day Dr. Mrs. Avanjali Satapathy, President of CLW Women's Organization who was warmly felicitated by our honourable Principal with a bouquet of flowers and an Uttoriyo. The felicitation was followed by a very emphatic speech by our honourable Chief guest where she aptly pointed out that the true essence of the celebration is not just in remembering the great martyrs on a particular day but to always follow on the path shown by them which will then be the real tribute to them. She also highlighted that our country got this much awaited freedom only after a lot of sacrifices and hard work put in by the freedom fighters. Therefore, it should be the primary duty of the students to protect and preserve this freedom under all circumstances, so that the sacrifices made by our forefathers and leaders may not go in vain. The program culminated with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief guest and the Josephites raising their arms in salute to the tricolur and singing the National Anthem.
May the future bring more glory to our great country and it’s people.
Here's wishing each and everyone a Very Happy 77th Independence Day!
